Hey Everyone,
So i'm stressed out because because my blog post is late. I went out of the country for a few days and just got back today. Now i'm playing catch up in both of my classes, which is a lot of stress. So I came into this exercise with a lot of stress, frustration and worry.
I liked the loving-kindness activity. Its good to remind people during hard time, not to always look towards the negative, but to look on the positive side of things as well. It could also probably help someone get through something tough, like a sick family member or a death in the family. I'm sure if that person does this exercise as much as the book tells you you to do so, they will most likely have that closure faster than someone who doesn't do this exercise. I think this exercise would be very beneficial for someone to do.
Listening to the tracks on the CD was very moving and relaxing. I believe the concept of a mental workout is working out the mind and expanding the mind in every way we can. These exercises we have been doing are great exercises for mental workouts. They are not only relaxing, but it helps us expand our mind, think positive thoughts, imagine we are somewhere else and helps us to recognize our negative thoughts and turn them into positive ones. Doing the exercise on the CD was beneficial for me because it made me realize that being late posting this isn't worth all the stress and I need to look to my positive thoughts more often.

Unit 3 Blog
Hello All,
I hope everyone has had a great week so far.
Based on my reflections, I would give my physical wellbeing a 5. I know I need to get out more and exercise as well as eating healthier. I do really good during the week, but when it comes to weekend, I tend to go out to eat a lot, and sometimes I don't order the healthiest foods. My goal for this area is to shed some pounds and to eat healthy all the time and not just some of the times. I think I just need to keep up my motivation to get me through. I could use some encouragement by friends and family members to keep me on the right track. I can wake up earlier to exercise before work and then do something when I get home. I have never worked out in the morning time, only at night, so im sure it will make my day much better.
I would give my spiritual wellbeing an 8. I am very spiritual and I also do a great job of integrating my beliefs and values in what I do and what I think. I always think about my values before I make important decisions, or before I take action that could possibly hurt others. My goal in this area would be to go to church more, because I don't get to go as much as I would like. With this goal, I just need to manage my time better so I have time on Sundays to go to church.
For my psychological wellbeing, I would give myself an 8. I believe i'm at a pretty healthy state right now with my mind. I know how to handle stress as it comes. I don't let it get the best of me. Taking courses on how to manage my stress better was very beneficial to me. One goal I would set for myself in this area would be to control my anger better. With having a young child, and being a single parent, things get very frustrating at times. I do know I need to work on not yelling, because that doesn't solve anything. There are many exercises I can do to control my anger; deep breathing is one of them. I use this a lot already, but its something I can implement in my life a little more.
Listening to the exercise, I loved it because it made me so relaxed, especially having a stressful week. I like the different techniques he used, reminding me of my purpose in life. It was very motivating, refreshing, calming and relaxing all at the the same time.

Blog Posting- Unit 2
Hello Professor and Classmates,
Before I start, the method I used to view everyones blog was just to add everyone one by one. It was simple, but very time consuming.
Hello everyone and I hope everyone's week 2 in the course is going okay. So a little bit about me, i'm 25 going for my Bachelor Degree in Health and Wellness. I chose this field so I can better my life and people around me. I also love to help people so i'm hoping to be able to help many people in the near future.
I loved this relaxation exercise. I felt that I could really close my mind, take my mind elsewhere and come back with absolutely nothing on my mind. Its a great experience. I think listening to something like this everyday can reduce my stress levels dramatically. Its so soothing, its something I can definitely listen to while getting a massage.
