Blog Posting- Unit 2

Hello Professor and Classmates,

Before I start, the method I used to view everyones blog was just to add everyone one by one.  It was simple, but very time consuming.

Hello everyone and I hope everyone's week 2 in the course is going okay.  So a little bit about me, i'm 25 going for my Bachelor Degree in Health and Wellness.  I chose this field so I can better my life and people around me. I also love to help people so i'm hoping to be able to help many people in the near future.

I loved this relaxation exercise.  I felt that I could really close my mind, take my mind elsewhere and come back with absolutely nothing on my mind.  Its a great experience.  I think listening to something like this everyday can reduce my stress levels dramatically.  Its so soothing, its something I can definitely listen to while getting a massage.

  1. Hey Jamie! Glad to hear that you also liked the exercise. It reminded me of when I was yonger and my parents used the same technique to put me to sleep. I loved it!

I think that listening to it while getting a masage would be amazing. I have a feeling it may put me to sleep though! The ultimate relaxation!

I also felt that it helped me close my mind to everything sourounding me. It helped me calm down! I actually tryed it a second time and checked my blood pressure after and before. My blood pressure went down. I think that this could be marketable for people with blood pressure problems, and pregnant women with preclampsia.

    Have a great week! Sara

  2. Hello Jamie. I was wondering, what new skills or goals do you wish to accomplish in this course? Also, what profession are you interested in after you receive your Bachelors? I took this class as an elective. I am getting a Bachelors in Legal Studies this year. I also have a great interest in Health so I decided to take advantage of this course.

I hope to use some of the skills to acheive integral health in my personal life. A challenge for me right now is letting go of a grudge against a family member who has not apologized. I feel they are wrong, so I have been ignoring them over the holidays. What do you think about this? What they did was really wrong and it is not something that I can just pretend never happened.
