Hello Everyone,
I liked both of the exercises, the loving-kindness and the subtle mind practice. I think they both can be beneficial to a person, but I think that depends on the person. I think the difference between the two exercises is that loving-kindness helps a person focus on the people in their life, the negative and positive events that they are going through. With the subtle mind practice, it has people focus more on the mind, and training the mind while going through the 3 levels of the subtle mind. I thought the exercise went really well for me. I didn't experience any frustrations except that my disk only work for the first 5 minutes and then it was all static so I had to open the track from doc sharing. Other than than, it was very relaxing to me.
There is a big connection between spiritual wellness, mental wellness and physical wellness. All of these things are tied together, so its important to keep all of these healthy. In order to keep the "whole" person healthy, a persons spiritual wellness, mental wellness and physical wellness needs to be healthy as well. This connection has manifested in my life because when i'm stressed, its hard for me to concentrate and I have no energy to do anything, so it affects my physical wellness as well.

Hi James,
ReplyDeleteI do like the exercise dealing with love-kindness as well as subtle mind that I have to incorporate the three levels of suble mind from daily. I do think that one has to overcome any obstacle in life by strive to unmet expectation behaviors. One should clear the negative behaviors about what I am going to accomplish in my life. My suggestion would be to concentration on one single problem without stres the mind. I usaully put on a soft music to clear my mind form stressful envionmental pressure that I might have to confront it daily.

Hi Jamies,
ReplyDeleteI am very sorry that I spell your name incorrectly. I did not realized that there is no nobody in our class name James. It was a typo error.
Hello Jamie,
ReplyDeleteI also found this exercise to be very beneficial. To me it is a little easier for me to do this exercise versus the loving-kindness, but i agree that it probably depends on the person.
